Luis de Carlos

Luis de Carlos (16 March 1907 – 27 May 1994) was chairman of Real Madrid from 1978 to 1985.

De Carlos was elected president of Real Madrid after the death of Santiago Bernabéu. During his reign the club won two Spanish Championships and two Spanish Cups, but failed to win its seventh European Cup after losing 0-1 to Liverpool in the 1981 final.

He did not run in the elections of 1985 and was succeeded by Ramón Mendoza at the helm of the club.
